The three-card spread: past, present and future in one breath
The simplest tarot spread that still tells a story — how it works and how to ask it a good question.
The three-card spread is the first one most readers learn, and the one many keep coming back to. Three cards, three positions: where you come from, where you stand, where things are heading.
Why it works
One card gives a message. Three cards give a story. The past card explains the mood you bring to the question; the present card names what is in play right now; the future card shows the direction if nothing changes. Read together, they turn a vague worry into something you can think about.
Ask a question that leaves room
Tarot answers open questions best. Instead of "Will he call me?" try "What should I understand about this connection?". Instead of "Will I get the job?" try "How can I show up at my best in this interview?". You keep the power to choose — the cards only invite you to look.
Reversed cards are not bad news
A reversed card usually means the energy is blocked, delayed or turned inward. The Star reversed is not "no hope": it is hope you have stopped listening to.
Try it with Lady Marina
Lady Marina shuffles a real 78-card deck on our server — she never invents a card — and lays your three cards face down before turning them over one by one, by voice. Tarot is for reflection and entertainment, never a substitute for professional advice.
